EYE REJUVENATION
As we age, we may develop dark circles, lines, wrinkles, puffy under-eye bags, and overhanging eyelids. Even when we are well-rested, we may still look tired. Fortunately, there are both surgical and non-surgical procedures that can be done to improve the overall appearance of this area.
One option is dermal fillers in the area known as "Tear Trough's", which can be used to fill the hollow area under the eye that can cause dark circles and loss of firmness, resulting in tired-looking eyes. This can be due to thinning skin, loss of volume, collagen, and elastin over time. However, only a small percentage of people are suitable for tear-trough fillers in the first instance as the area under the eye must meet certain criteria to be effective. Heavy eye bags or excess skin is a contraindication to the treatment, and previously, people with these concerns had little alternative options for treatment.
Polynucleotides are an alternative/adjunct to tear-trough filler and help decrease lower eyelid puffiness, fine lines, wrinkles, and volume loss. This treatment is safe for all skin types and can be done in combination with other treatments.
Polynucleotides are a new injectable bio revitalisation treatment (DNA-based bio stimulators) that promotes skin regeneration and mild volume gain by deeply hydrating and promoting collagen stimulation. The polynucleotides work to moisturise, reduce free radical damage, and boost collagen production.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Polynucleotides are injected subdermally into the skin with a cannula in four sessions, four weeks apart. This can be repeated every six months. There is little discomfort with the treatment, but as with all injections, there is the potential for swelling or bruising.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF POLYNUCLEOTIDES?
Polynucleotides help to deeply improve skin microcirculation, detox and deeply hydrate skin, reduce fine lines and wrinkles while helping to firm and tighten the skin through collagen stimulation.
One of the primary under-eye concerns for many individuals is the presence of dark circles. Polynucleotide treatment reduces the pigmentation and discolouration that contribute to the appearance of these dark circles. Impressively, results show that they can improve under eye brightness in individuals by over 32 percent in as little as 4 weeks.
When injected under the eyes, polynucleotides promote greater skin elasticity, restoring a more youthful and supple appearance to the under-eye area.
Polynucleotides are ideal for patients who are unsuitable for certain treatments, such as those with excessive bags under the eye area or poor skin quality. In patients like these dermal fillers under the eye area are not suitable and a polynucleotide product provides the perfect alternative. In some circumstances, the polynucleotides will improve the skin in the tear trough area enough to then allow for dermal filler.
As with all treatments, there are risks of complications. Therefore, a thorough consultation is required prior to treatment. Please arrange an appointment to ensure this treatment will be okay for you. Swelling and bruising are to be expected with this treatment, so please bear in mind any upcoming events or holidays when booking an appointment.
A course of 3-4 polynucleotide sessions are required, approximately 3-4 weeks apart.

The treatment rejuvenates tired looking eyes and softens hollow eyes. Using both a needle and a cannula to deliver dermal filler of two different thicknesses to different regions of the eye to achieve natural looking results.
A cannula is a thin bendy blunt tube that passes through the tissue safely to reduce risks of injury to blood vessels and nerves. The procedure is generally tolerated well but may result in mild swelling or bruising as with any dermal filler treatment.
